Critiques by Mira Svyrydenko Bobbi-Jo In this project she could use the principle of hierarchy and because all words seem to be in the same scale of size. Another way to improve the design would be changing and manipulating the font that can give a variety to the design. I really like how she did the word Determined that definitely makes a rhythm of design. By adding the repetition to the same word (Determined) would emphasize it as focal point. Mike Meleski A good way to improve this project would be changing a font of some of the words that may solve a problem with too much of negative space. Another idea would be adding hierarchy to the design by changing size of the words. I do like how he did with the word persevering by overlapping it with “er”, but I think he could work with words Cool and Pitcher for representing meaning of the word more. Manipulating with colors also would a way to achieve unity of the design. Greg Burd It is a very interesting design. It has a lot of movement, rhythm, balance. The only thing he could make even better – to change the size of the letters in some words would give the design more negative space. By doing that he could emphasize the focal point more. Devin Murphy I think it is a great design. It has a lot balance, value, overlapping. I really like how he used the word Creative as a background. But to improve the design even more he could manipulate with placement of the words to add more movement to the design. Karrah Pfeiffer The design has a lot of potential. I think, she may consider working with the words Quiet and Friendly by adding a repetition or/and changing a scale of size and font that can represent a meaning of the words more. Actually I like more black&white version, where the word Loving she used as focal point because it has much more movement, rhythm, repetition, and balance.
